The 2000 MLB season was Mike Piazza's third with the New York Mets. Piazza was named to his 8th consecutive All Star team in 2000 but wasn't able to play in the game due to a concussion that he sustained when he was hit in the head by a Roger Clemens fastball on July 8th.The two met again during the World Series that year as the Yankees and Mets faced off in the Subway Series. Piazza faced Clemens in game 2 and there was another incident.
